Boris Stavrovsky, who lives in New York, is well known to both Russian and international collectors. An expert in early 20th century Russian art, he is the owner of an extensive collection of paintings and graphic works of many prominent artists, such as V.A. Serov, A.N. Benua, P.V. Kuznetsov, F.A. Malyavin, B.D. Grigoryev, N.K. Rerikh and Y.P. Annenkov.
Professor Alexander Shedrinksy from Long Island University, participant in the Metropolitan Museum and the New York Museum of Modern Art cultural exchange program with represents the Russian Art Magazine, interviewed Boris Stavrovsky about the collector's reminiscences, his experience, the principles guiding his collecting activities and also about his favorite works of art and stories about how he had acquired them.
