After 28 years as Northern California’s premier sculpture gallery, Sculpturesite Gallery is now the premier online source for sculpture! Dedicated entirely to modern and contemporary fine art sculpture, Sculpturesite Gallery's extensive website features a variety of abstract, figurative and representational sculpture by emerging, mid-career and internationally established sculpture artists: from hand-held to pedestal, free-standing, suspended and wall-mounted pieces. Works are crafted of metal, wood, stone, glass, concrete and other media.
Along with the website, sculpture lovers can visit our sculptureWALK: a dynamic exhibition of over 20 free-standing statues and kinetic sculptures -- from garden-sized to monumental -- displayed throughout the beautiful grounds of Jack London Village in Glen Ellen, California. Whether you are looking for a single piece of sculpture, a site-specific commission, or an entire sculpture collection, please browse and discover an extraordinary selection of contemporary sculpture available for sale or by commission.
Co-owners Brigitte Micmacker and John Denning first founded A New Leaf Gallery in Berkeley, California, in 1990. 2005 marked both the move of A New Leaf Gallery to Sonoma County and the creation of Sculpturesite Gallery in San Francisco. The two galleries ran concurrently until 2010, when they consolidated in Sonoma to form a new leaf gallery | sculpturesite as the sole venue in the region dedicated exclusively to fine art sculpture. In 2015, the gallery moved to the Sonoma County town of Glen Ellen, celebrated its 25th anniversary, and returned to its shorter, more impactful name: Sculpturesite Gallery. After three years at beautiful Jack London Village in Glen Ellen, Sculpturesite closed the doors to its indoor space in May of 2018. Going forward, Sculpturesite Gallery will focus all attention on the extensive website and the ongoing outdoor sculptureWALK exhibition, continuing at Jack London Village.
As director and chief curator of Sculpturesite, Brigitte Micmacker is committed to showing works of sculpture that energize the space they occupy and are imbued with wit, intelligence and a love for the material and form, whether created by internationally renowned artists or by dedicated sculptors who have not yet received the recognition they deserve. Each artist has therefore been carefully selected based on their approach to the concept and craft of sculpture and the contribution Micmacker believes they are making to the world of contemporary sculpture.
