Sean Kelly is delighted to return to Mexico City for Zona Maco 2018. Our booth will be a dynamic and thought-provoking presentation of new work by a number of gallery artists including, James Casebere, whose recent constructed photographs explore modernist architecture; Jose Dávila, with new cutouts inspired by Alexander Calder and sculptures that explore the intersection between balance and suspension; Hugo McCloud, whose abstract works find beauty in often overlooked materials; and Janaina Tschäpe, whose dreamlike paintings incorporate themes of aquatic, plant and human life to suggest abstract landscapes that blur perceptions of illusion and reality.

Emphasizing recent solo exhibitions at the gallery works by Iran do Espírito Santo and Sam Moyer will be on view. Being exhibited for the first time are examples of Frank Thiel’s newest photographs of Quinceañeras, photographed throughout Havana's fifteen municipalities, these works are from Thiel's forthcoming exhibition which opens at the gallery in New York on February 10. We will also feature a selection of work from gallery artists Marina Abramović, Los Carpinteros, Antony Gormley, Laurent Grasso, Callum Innes, and Diana Fonseca Quiñones. We look forward to engaging new audiences at the fair with our carefully curated presentation, whilst highlighting the international depth and breadth of the gallery’s program.
