Nági Collective announces inaugural exhibition of collectible resin and marble sculptures at SoShiro Gallery London.

Nági Collective will unveil its first collection of contemporary resin and marble sculptures and paintings, inspired by personal identity and life’s journeys, at SoShiro Gallery in Marylebone, London, from 1 to 15 March 2024. A celebration of diversity and the transformative power of collaboration, Nági Collective presents a series of unique hand-made resin and marble sculptures Yuki and The Nomad alongside eight paintings featuring transparent acrylic paint. Yuki, which means snow in Japanese, is a 35cm resin figurine which carries a backpack with a smaller Yuki inside. Yuki is a serene and pure presence, like a snowflake. It is a reminder that each person carries a unique personal story filled with challenges and victories. Nági Collective hopes that Yuki will inspire people to share their stories and listen to others with empathy and kindness.

The second resin sculpture, The Nomad, is 28cm high and captures the essence of the Tuareg nomads of Northern Africa known for their resilence and brave spirit as they traverse the Sahara. The Nomad serves as a powerful symbol representing exploration and the diversity and richness of human narratives.

The paintings of Yuki, The Nomad and Japanese and Moroccan landscapes feature multiple layers of transparent paint, symbolising the nuanced act of concealing parts of oneself. The meticulous layering of the paint not only adds depth to the canvas but also represents the gradual unfolding of life’s stories.
