Since its foundation in 1977, the internationally renowned Walter Storms Gallery has exhibited contemporary, concrete and conceptual art. The gallery works continuously with members of the Zero Group, important representatives of the European avant-garde, with participants in biennials and the documenta, and promotes emerging talent. Walter Storms Gallery participates in numerous art fairs and supports its artists in the organization and realization of exhibitions in museums and other institutions. In cooperation with renowned publishers or in our own publishing house we produce catalogs, monographs and artist books. A special focus of the gallery's activities is the administration of the estate of Günter Fruhtrunk (1923-1982) and the art estate of Raimund Girke's widow (1930-2002). The gallery runs two separate exhibition spaces: a spacious, light-flooded exhibition hall with over 500 m² at the Munich Kunstareal area, which with its museums and universities is one of the most important cultural locations in Europe, and a second large exhibition room with an open space for sculptures in the district “Bogenhausen”.
