UCLH Arts and TAG Fine Arts are proud to present Allotment, an exciting new group exhibition at The Street Gallery, University College Hospital. Following on from the success of previous shows SNAP and Black Light, artist Adam Bridgland and UCLH Arts Curator Guy Noble, have collaborated with TAG Fine Arts and brought together twenty-three artists to each create a new wall based work in response to the term 'Allotment'. A full list of artists included in the exhibition is listed below.

All twenty-three practitioners are gaining widespread recognition within the art and design world and exhibit internationally. Many are part of major art collections in the UK and abroad. All the artists produce very different work and their approach to the subject has created a diverse exhibition of works. For a term that could be deemed quintessentially 'English', the exhibition has a cosmopolitan feel. Painting, printmaking, photography, drawing and collage will be showcased.

The exhibition will also aim to bring to attention the resurgence of the inner city allotment. Over the past couple of years the demand for a little patch of green in a crowded metropolis to grow your own has risen dramatically, with waiting lists expanding each year. For instance, Camden Council has a forty-year waiting list for an allotment. This demand though is not going to satisfied anytime soon, with limited land in the city available and the allotment coming under constant threat from housing planners and developers.

The work will be for sale, with thirty percent going to the UCLH Arts fund to ensure the future development of UCLH Arts projects for the benefit of hospital patients.

UCLH Arts is the hospital arts project run by curator Guy Noble that serves UCLH NHS Foundation Trust and its surrounding community. UCLH Arts is committed to providing a welcoming, uplifting environment for all patients, visitors and staff through the use of a varied and stimulating arts programme. The Street Gallery on the Euston Road is the main exhibition space in UCLH Hospital, showcasing a variety of artists' works. The Street Gallery is opposite Warren Street tube, which serves the Victoria and Northern Underground Lines. About TAG Fine Arts

TAG Fine Arts is based in Islington and for the past three years has been successfully representing emerging to established artists trained at the leading UK arts colleges. The organisation focuses on pop up exhibitions in ‘alternative’ spaces, collaborating with institutions and funds art commissions through a series of International art fairs. The company is run by Diana Ewer and Hobby Limon.
