FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, July 11, 2005 - Pace Wildenstein, 32 East 57th Street, will present James Turrell: Light Projections 1968 and Light Works 2005 from July 14 through September 24, 2005. The exhibition, Turrell's second with the gallery, features four early Light Projections and ten new Holograms. For over three decades, James Turrell has used light and indeterminate space-not objects or images-to extend and enhance perception.

Two new wall drawings by Sol LeWitt, the largest graphite drawings made by the artist to date, will be on view at PaceWildenstein, 534 West 25th Street, from July 14 through August 25, 2005. Wall Drawing #1166 Light to Dark (Scribbles) and Wall Drawing #1167 Dark to Light (Scribbles), both dated 2005, measure 200" high x 408" long and 200" high x 324" long, respectively. The works were created in two and a half weeks with the assistance of 15 people. LeWitt is currently the subject of two exhibitions in New York City including Splotches, Whirls, and Twirls on the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden at The Metropolitan Museum (through October 30, 2005) and Two Concrete Block Sculptures for Madison Square Park's Art 2005 project (through December 31, 2005).

A group show featuring recent paintings and sculpture by Tara Donovan, Tim Hawkinson, Michal Rovner, James Siena, Kiki Smith, Keith Tyson, Corban Walker and Fred Wilson will also be on view in Chelsea from July 14 through August 25, 2005. Many of these artists are new to PaceWildenstein, and several will have their first solo show at the gallery in Fall 2005 and Spring 2006.
