As a choreographer who shares her artistic expressions via performance, YangHee Lee creates a temporary theatre or presents her work in the form of an exhibition. Her recent works are executed in videos and performances associated with a physical body, pleasure, and form - the main components of dance. Lee studied Korean traditional dance at Ewha Womans University and earned a master’s in dance education at New York University. Lee is now a founder of Yanghee Lee Choreographic and works as a collaboration artist at Theatre C and The Syndicate, both located in New York. Lee was a resident artist at New York Live Arts (2011-2012) and Movement Research (2014-2016) and was granted a fellowship program at the Asian Cultural Council (2016).
