Van Herck – Eykelberg is a secondary market gallery focused on Belgian art of all periods and international modern/post-war art. The company builds on a family tradition in the arts that goes back to the mid of the 19th century.
In the last decades the gallery has acted primarily as a private broker in the sale of significant works of art amongst other works by Walter Leblanc, Pierre Alechinsky, Léon Spilliaert, James Ensor, Paul Delvaux, William N. Copley, René Magritte, Pieter Breughel the Younger, Jan Brueghel the Elder as well as assisted in the sale of entire collections.
In the last couple of years Van Herck – Eykelberg has organized exhibitions, notably on Walter Lebanc (1932-1986), a key artist of the European ZERO and kinetic art movements and Léon Spilliaert (1881-1946), a singular artist associated with the Symbolist movement.
