Van Herck - Eykelberg is very pleased to participate for the first time at the BRAFA art fair in Brussels taking place between Friday January 26 and Sunday February 4, 2024. 
-In fact it is the first time that the gallery participates in an art fair. After decades dealing in art on a private basis it was time to reach out to a broader public. It is a nice recognition of our work that we were immediately accepted to exhibit at Belgium's foremost art fair. We will of course strive to deliver the same level of personal service to our clients and continue to deal privately as well.
At BRAFA Van Herck - Eykelberg will exhibit amongst others a great still-life by James Ensor - Roses, Tanagras and Boot of 1917. The painting has resided for over 40 years in an Italian private collection and has returned to the Belgian market only recently. On a label on the back of the painting it is indicated that this work was the ‘Natura morta’ by James Ensor that was shown at the Belgian pavillion of the Venice Biennale in 1926, which was previously unknown.
