Timeline

Stikman, believed to be a Philadelphia native, has been active in the street art scene since the 1960s. In 1992 the stick figures started to appear in various cities across the United States and are now what the artist is best known for.
Believing that art should speak for itself, he has maintained an anonymity and allure with a cult-like following since living in the Germantown section of Philadelphia during college in 1970.
