Characteristic of Alex Katz’ large-format portraits, which often show his wife and muse Ada, is a simplified and flat design with a clear outline. The facial expression of his models is reduced to the essentials; the minimalist color design is radiant and rich in contrast. Beside human figures he also paints flowers and landscapes. This limited print edition from 2018 is a large silkscreen that was printed on canvas and stretched on a wooden frame, so it looks like a painting.
