Description
The idea that this work is ‘untransacted’ means that it is not yet complete – that is, the artist has yet to find a recipient with something he values sufficiently to warrant an exchange. However, it is not correct to see this painting as unfinished; it simply holds the transaction in suspension as a conceptual possibility.
