Carolyn Weltman

Timeline

: Ms. Weltman hails from the United Kingdom, but has been a New Yorker for over 20 years. She makes art that entices our libido. Her images of 'her boys and girls', are readily available as miniature prints and notecards. Her exhibition prints for the serious collector are limited edition Giclée versions, with some added nail enamels for a bit of uniqueness. She draws her models from life, with graphite & gesso, and scans to manipulate on her computer. Then Carolyn makes a rough print and redraws with pen, and repeats this process until she feels the final image has the substance she requires to let it breathe on it's own. Only then do we get to be excited by her masterful command of her media, both traditional, and technological.
