Description
An experimental approach is very characteristic for Jiri Dokoupil's works. He has not used a brush since the mid-1980s, but instead uses car tires, paint sprays, whips, candles and soap bubbles to create his work. The latter, in particular, has made the artist world famous, as he is the first and only painter in the world to blow the real soap bubbles onto paper. The principle of randomness plays an equally important role in the compositions as the choice of colour. The result is a fascinating, randomly created overlay of colour bubbles that results from their bursting on the paper.
"Jamaica Achate" is a high-quality pigment print with real, colour-intensive pigments in violett, yellow, blue, red and white among many other colours. This edition is sold out. Only an AP copy is still availabe. For price and more details, please contact us.
