Description
This drawing was made (but not used ) for Woodrow Wyatt’s article in the 1951 Tribune Magazine The Jews at Home.
The Assicurazoni Building is a well known landmark in Jerusalem. Designed by Marcello Piacentini, the Italian Fascist architect, it came to prominence between 1946-48 during the Palestinian conflict when it was initially a stronghold for the British and was then taken over by The Ingun. The building is now a government office.
