Description
This work is part of a series that Partenheimer began in 2015, called «One Hundred Poets», of which Häusler Contemporary has offered a glimpse in various presentations. It is based on the artist’s personal selection of 100 poems, visualized in his unique imagery. He thus points to the equal relevance of different artistic genres in his oeuvre while simultaneously paying tribute to his favourite poets. The group of works are an indirect homage to Japanese artist Hokusai who at the beginning of the 19th century dedicated his work to a similar project based on a renowned anthology of Japanese poetry.
