Lola (Helena) Butovitsch , born September 17 , 1900 in Warsaw , died November 26, 1971 , was a Swedish artist .Butovitsch was born in Warsaw (then part of Russia) to Russian parents. She studied at the Academy of Arts in Stockholm 1925-1929. In her final year of study, she was awarded the Royal Medal . She then undertook study trips to, among other places, France, Spain and Tunisia. Separately, she exhibited for the first time at the Fahlcrantz art salon in Stockholm in 1936. She was mainly active as a landscape and portrait painter. For the film /I am fire and air/ from 1944, she painted a portrait of Viveca Lindfors.
