Description
Soft-ground, initialed M.C., printed in brown ink with plate tone, a probably unique impression of an intermediate state between Breeskin's first and second state of two, with the outline of the girl's right hand and her upper arm completed, with added volume to her hair at right, and with the baby's smock and legs indicated in soft-ground, but before the addition of aquatint, on laid paper with VANDERLEY watermark
Only one impression is recorded of each of the other two states.
