Biography
Nguyen Thanh Son is a contemporary Vietnamese artist working in the traditional medium of woodblock printing on rice paper. Son celebrates the cultural rites of his country through his stylized figures which call to mind the primitive works of early civilizations. Born in 1959 in Pleiku, Vietnam, he went on to graduate from the Hue Fine Arts School in 1987. The artist currently lives and work in Hanoi, Vietnam.
