ABSTRACT ASSEMBLAGES
In Abad’s Abstract Assemblages series, the artist collages found materials such as buttons, glitter, different papers, and cloth, but this iteration is created in an astonishingly compact manner. For Abad, these small-scale works represent “different places and different feelings,” generally requiring the same amount of time and energy as her larger-scale trapuntos.
