Born July 18th in Leningrad, Russia
1941 - 1945
At the age of sixteen he was taken prisoner by the Nazis and imprisoned for a period of four years at Buchenwald and other concentration camps.
1945
After his liberation Lurie remained in Germany for a year and worked for the U.S. Army Counter-Intelligence
1946
Moved to New York, NY
1954 - 1955
Lived and worked in Paris
1960
Created the NO!art movement along with Sam Goodman and Stanley Fisher
2008
Died January 7th in New York, NY
