Running from April 11 through June 7, the exhibition '15 x 10 quindici artisti – dieci anni di galleria' brings together the works of artists promoted and supported by Dellupi Arte, hosting Masters of modern art and contemporary artists who have most characterised the gallery’s path.
The exhibition, which inaugurates the gallery’s new headquarters, presents a selection of canvases by important international artists of the second half of the 20th century, including Hans Hartung, Georges Mathieu, Pinot Gallizio, and the CoBrA group, among others, as well as recent works by Yanyan Huang and Katrin Fridriks.
Founded in 2014 and specialising mainly in Italian and international abstract and informal art, Dellupi Arte opens the doors of its new location by reliving through the work of 15 artists the gallery’s a decade-long journey, starting with the most significant artists of the postwar period and ending with the present day.
Conceived as a homage to the pictorial experiences gained in the 1950s and 1960s, which were mostly projected towards a sign and gesture approach, the exhibition reveals visual correspondences and affinities between artists of different nationalities and generations, who were able to transform the pictorial language of the 20th century with unprecedented expressive results.
