Since 1979, the gallerist Peter Femfert has vouched for a sophisticated gallery concept of groundbreaking developments in the art of the 20th century, as well as of promising and multifaceted Contemporary positions.
In its location in Frankfurt on the Main about five exhibitions per year are organised, showing original paintings, drawings, and sculptures. The gallery focus is on Modern Art, especially on Surrealism, and CoBrA, art as well as on Contemporary Figurative Art, led to numerous solo and group exhibitions in these fields, such as Max Ernst, André Masson, Jean Dubuffet, Corneille, Lucebert, Eduardo Arroyo, Emilio Tadini, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Volker Stelzmann, Enrico Baj, Robert Combas, Feng Zhengjie, Heiner Meyer, and Torsten Holtz, and sculptors like Igor Mitoraj, Miguel Berrocal, and Dietrich Klinge.
The openings regularly take place in the presence of the artists. The gallery can be visited during the office hours (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.), and by appointment.
