DIE GALERIE is pleased to announce its 13th participation at KIAF, September 20 – 24, 2017 (COEX Center, Booth A 12)
For already 38 years, the gallerist Peter Femfert has vouched for a sophisticated gallery concept of groundbreaking developments in the art of the 20th century as well as of promising and multifaceted contemporary positions.
“The breadth found in art is well beyond conceivability; the range of styles, techniques and statements incalculable; the differences in quality immense. As a gallerist and art dealer, I see my responsibility as that of providing my clients all over the world with responsible and reliable encouragement and advice”, thus Peter Femfert about his work and passion.
Hence, modern and contemporary art is passion and focus at the same time in the high quality program of DIE GALERIE: as in the 13 previous years, also this year the ambitious guidelines of the gallery program are mirrored in the exhibition concept for KIAF 2017:
Highlights in the field of 20th-century modern masters will be: wonderful paintings from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s by French Surrealist artist André Masson, important works by Masson’s friend and colleague, the Chilean Roberto Matta, three fabulous works by the inventor of Art Brut, Jean Dubuffet, and, not to forget, an early Max Ernst painting, besides Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró.
Following the tremendous success DIE GALERIE had last year with the paintings of the famous French painter and sculptor Alain Clément, a sizable part of the gallery’s booth is dedicated his work. Similar multicolored are the works by Klaus Zylla; he however spreads humoresque, animal-like figures on his canvases telling boisterous stories. New works by German painters Volker Stelzmann and Johannes Heisig and the sculptures by Dietrich Klinge and Igor Mitoraj complete the presentation.
