Marianne Elrick-Manley has been a private art dealer since 1990. She has developed a specialty in 19th- and 20th-century American, European, and Latin American works of art with a focus on drawings and watercolors. With a strong academic background in art history, Ms. Elrick-Manley has published articles and curated public and private exhibitions in both museums and galleries. In 2008, she was a curator for Una Vida Papel, an exhibition of 90 drawings by Joaquin Torres-Garcia, for the Museu Valencia de la Il.lustracio i la Modernitat (MuVIM), which traveled to Madrid in January of 2009.
More recently, her continued personal interest in Spanish and Latin American art led her to form a partnership with Artur Ramon Fine Art in Barcelona. This partnership produced two exhibitions for Master Drawings week in 2013 and 2014 titled, “Three Centuries of Spanish Drawings: Ribera to Picasso” and “Drawings and Watercolors: 17th Century to 21st Century,” respectively.
Ms. Elrick-Manley has placed works in many public collections including the Brooklyn Museum, Arkansas Art Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, High Museum, and the Reina Sofía.
She is a member of the Private Art Dealers Association and CINOA (Confédération Internationale des Négociants en Oeuvres d'Art). As an art dealer, Marianne offers both the inexperienced as well as the sophisticated collector a depth of knowledge combined with an understanding of the art market.
