Bought his first camera; won a weekly photography contest in the Philadelphia Evening Public Ledger

Embarked on a career as a fashion photographer, after publishing his first fashion photo in an issue of Junior Bazaar
1959
First solo show was held at Helen Gee’s Limelight Gallery in New York City
1960
Worked as a movie stills photographer in Hollywood
1969 - 1974
Lived and worked abroad, mostly in Paris
1975
Returned to the United States permanently
1978
Awarded National Endowment for the Arts grant
