Leandro Navarro Art Gallery presents the fifth solo exhibition dedicated to Spanish realist painter Gerardo Pita (Madrid, 1950). He is celebrating his 50 years of career with a selection of sixteen still-lifes that will amaze spectators with their poetry, realism, and technical virtuosity.
As his first exhibitions were mostly comprised of drawings, in this current show, he has prepared a beautiful selection of works on paper in black and white in the technique of Conté pencil. These drawings are surrounded by some medium and big-size canvases painted with oil.
In the exhibition catalog, available through our website, you can find more information about the artist and all the artworks, as well as the prologue (in Spanish) by Dr. Denis Vigneron, Professor at Université Lille Nord de France and author of various books and articles about Spanish literary and artistic themes from the 19th century to nowadays.
