1891: At the age of 16, executed an etching of his father Eugene Duchamp, "Portrait de Mon Pere"
1894: Studied at L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts
1911: Became involved in the Cubist movement
1912: Contributed to a project for a 'Cubist house' shown at the Salon d'Automne
1914: First one-man exhibition at the Galerie Andr-23 Groult, Paris
: Enlisted as an auxiliary doctor and contracted typhoid in 1916. Spent last two years as an invalid.
1918: Died in Cannes
1950: First prize at the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh
