Zurich
Since his studies in the 1970s with professors Rolf von Bergmann and Karl Horst Hödicke in Berlin, Gerd Rohling (*1946 in Krefeld) has been equally devoted to objects and painting. His installation “Wasser und Wein” at the Venice Biennale in 2001, curated by Harald Szeemann, and at the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin in 2003 are exemplary - with startling transformations of plastic waste into antique glass vessels. More recent works will be presented at the gallery in Zurich as part of the exhibition «momenti colorati».
Gerd Rohling lives and works in Berlin. His works have been exhibited at various biennials or in museums around the world including Italy, Africa, India, Brazil and Germany.
