EXHIBITION l June 10 - July 22, 2023

Michael Müller and Dr. Martin Engler will examine the works in the exhibition from different perspectives and thus delve into the creative and conceptual processes of the artist. What particularly distinguishes Michael Müller's work is the physical complexity of the works, which is partly hidden, but also partly deliberately revealed. The artist talk is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the method and technique Michael Müller uses in creating his multifaced and unconventional compositions.

In his work, the German-British artist Michael Müller (*1970) explores aesthetics and visual complexity, which he analyses through material research and experimentation. Drawing on historical narratives, scientific methods, social norms, linguistic and numerical systems, he has developed an artistic practice that keeps pushing these systems and structures to their limits through variations, transformations, manipulations and modifications. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at the Städel Museum in Frankfurt, the Sammlung Wemhöner in Berlin and the Museum im Kulturspeicher in Würzburg.
