1914
Born in St. Gallen/Switzerland. His father is the well known Swiss painter Carl August Liner.
1930
Begin of his studies at his fathers studio.
1936 - 1937
First trips to Italy, Greece and Egypt. Studies at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.
1938
Studies at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris/France.
1939 - 1944
Serves in the Swiss Army all during world-war II.
1946
His father dies. To cope with the loss, to paint becomes a necessity.
First contact with Fauvism in Paris/France.
1948
Keeps studios in Corsica and Paris/France.
1958
Discovers the South of France and buys an old tower in Fontvielle which he transfers into a studio and into his living quarters.
1980 - 1984
First trip to the USA and extensive travels in Arizona.
