Founded by Marie Christine Kremers, GALERIE KREMERS is located in the former Schultheiss-Brewery in the vibrant Kreuzberg neighbourhood of Berlin. Since 2015, the gallery has been curating exhibitions that explore and highlight creative/thematic relationships between artworks and artists. GALERIE KREMERS also exhibits solo exhibitions by emerging and established contemporary German and international artist. The gallery works closely with artist and art writers to explore both art historical and cultural/philosophical contexts for each exhibition. Most exhibitions at GALERIE KREMERS are accompanied by a full colour catalog of related works and critical essays. An important mandate for the gallery is to create connections with both local and international cultural communities. GALERIE KREMERS brings their roster of artists to international art fairs, and continues to look for opportunities to open their artists to new audiences. The gallery also regularly hosts readings, musical and performance events in their Gothic Hall, and on occasion has invited guest curators to mount exhibitions that further explore the artistic direction of GALERIE KREMERS.
