1877
Jean Dunand was born on May 20, 1877 in Lancy near Geneva. His father was a gold caster.
1891
Studied at the school of industrial Arts in Geneva.
1897
Scholarship from the city of Geneva to study in Paris.
1898
Apprentice of Jean Dampt, sculptor.
1903
Journey to Italy collaborated with Jean Dampt.
1909
Joined the Society of Artists Decorators.
1912
Learned the technique of lacquering with Japanese painter SOUGAWARA.
1914
Joined the Red Cross.
1921 - 1932
Works from the Dunand, Gouden, Jouve, Schmied group show in the Georges Petit and Jean Charpentier galleries.
1925
Paris International Decorative Exhibition.
1928
Designed the dining room for the Atlantique liner.
1933 - 1944
Exhibition in the Tuileries.
1935
Designed the smoking room for the Normandie liner.
1942
Died on June 7th 1942 at the age of 65.
Jean Dunand took part in over a hundred national and international exhibitions.
