The Galerie Peter Zimmermann was founded in March 1993. Three years later, the gallery moved into new premises in Mannheim-Oststadt, Germany. The exhibition space is located in a stately villa built in 1921, not far from the large municipal Luisenpark, adjacent to the Neckar River. The gallery showcases an international Contemporary exhibition program focusing on informal art, abstract Color Field Painting after 1945 and selected artists of similar art styles. The balanced emphasis on established and emerging artists remains a key objective of the gallery. By collaborating with other galleries and cultural institutions and participating in art fairs, the gallery seeks to introduce its artists to a wide audience and the international art market.
