Stefan Marx works on different levels: after initial designs for skateboards, he also conceives his ideas for T-shirts, record covers, bags and for KPM vases and tea sets. Large murals in the Kunstverein Hamburg 2009 and the Ferdinandeum Innsbruck 2020 and the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf 2020, as well as on the fronts of houses during the exhibition "Urban Arts Ruhr" 2019 are characteristic of his versatility. The transitions between applied and free artistic work are fluent in his work. Songs and time-critical texts are transformed into graphic painting. His comprehensive drawings, which vary between the comic and the grotesque, have been produced in numerous books and were shown at the Hamburger Kunsthalle in 2017. The artist lives and works in Berlin.
