The three-part exhibition series shows the connection between visual art and literature in their different forms:
Der Fischer und seine Frau (Grimms fairy tale), 2020
Price on Request
Das kleine Volk (Grimms fairy tale), 2020
Sterntaler (Grimms fairy tale), 2020
In the case of "Grimm's Fairy Tales," the illustrations are decidedly contemporary, citing the Berlin club scene (Berghain) as well as people (Luisa Neubauer) or buildings ( Elbphilharmonie) on heaven and hell.
In the book "Die Auswandernden" (The Emigrants) by Peter Waterhouse, the pictures were designed by the artist Nanne Meyer in a completely different way. Here, two word acrobats have joined forces in a game of ping pong.
Finally, Durs Grünbein and Via Lewandowsky have long since created a joint ongoing photo-prose series "Gott macht keine R-Gespräche," which has now led to the photographic/literary reading book "Intercom."
