People and Places: Paintings by Alice Neel at Gallery Hyundai - New Space

The exhibition features 15 portraits of Neel’s family, friends and lovers that are regarded as unique in the expression of her subjects’ inner personalities. Neel’s portrait paintings are not easily categorized. They have qualities of realism but, at the same time, those of expressionism.
