As the only San Francisco gallery at either fair, we will showcase our international programming in Dubai, featuring a blend of our California based and Asian artists. Participating artists for Dubai Rodney Ewing, Kate Eric, Matsu, Inkie Whang, Hisashi Tenmyouya, and Koh Myung Keun have contributed new works. Dubai, Qatar and its neighboring Abu Dhabi, concurrently hosting the 9th edition of the Sharjah Biennial, represent one of the most intriguing and pioneering regions in the art world today, with over a dozen major museums either now open or in the process of being built, including outposts of the Louvre and Guggenheim. We will also return to Hong Kong in May of this year for the second edition of the Hong Kong International Art Fair, www.hongkongartfair.com. Mary Anne Kluth, Kate Eric, Susannah Bettag, Matsu, Zhu Hai and Inkie Whang will create new works for the fair. The Financial Times wrote that Hong Kong is the fair that many believe could come out on top, citing Hong Kong's zero taxation on art, immense wealth and a community galvanized behind new visual culture. HK09 has quickly become one of the most coveted and competitive art fairs in the world. The hub of Asia will be home to over 100 of the world's top contemporary and modern art galleries this May.
