Established in 1983, the Greg Kucera Gallery exhibits Contemporary paintings, sculpture, and works on paper by nationally recognized artists and artists of the Northwest. We also have a large Contemporary print inventory, including ULAE publications.
Although the Gallery focuses on one-person exhibitions for the artists we represent, we occasionally produce group exhibitions, generally with a focused theme. Typically those themes have addressed the political situation of our present culture or movements and conventions within the Contemporary Art world.
In 1996 we purchased a storefront with 4,500 square feet of space, comprising four separate exhibition spaces and an outdoor sculpture deck of about 1,000 feet. In 2004, we acquired the adjacent storefront, adding another 2,000 square feet of new exhibition space, as well as for some much-needed rack and storage areas. Seattle architect, David DiMarco, created several soaring, two-story exhibition spaces, combining volume with simplicity. We have retained the vintage fir floor, and huge timbered ceilings, and expanded our outdoor sculpture deck to include the full width of the building.
