Hosfelt Gallery will present a curated booth of five artists – one from Australia, two from the U.S., one from Germany and one from Canada – as a sampling of our international exhibition program. Ranging from Patricia Piccinini’s uncanny sculptures and surrealist ink drawings, Jim Campbell’s signature works made with custom electronics and LEDs, Emil Lukas’ wall-hanging sculptures made with plaster and thread, Cornelius Völker’s thickly-impastoed oil paintings and Canadian artist Crystal Liu’s watercolor and ink paintings on paper, the booth will introduce visitors of Art Toronto to the refined aesthetic vision that Hosfelt Gallery brings to an investigation of cultural, social and intellectual history.
