Jack Rutberg Fine Arts launches its summer exhibition with an exciting collection of
contemporary and modern paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture, “The Art of Summer” shown in tandem
with a reinstallation of the critically celebrated “Claire Falkenstein: An Expansive Universe.”
“The Art of Summer,” features new acquisitions of works by Richard Diebenkorn, Vija Celmins, Marc
Chagall, Sam Francis, Karel Appel, Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst, Georges Rouault and others. This large
exhibition offers a wide range of works from the most intimate scale, as exampled by a rare early Sam Francis
lithograph (pictured above), to the monumental three-panel painting on canvas by Patrick Graham. Among
the many artists included are Jordi Alcaraz, Hans Burkhardt, George Condo, Reuben Nakian, Robert
Rauschenberg, Ed Ruscha, Ruth Weisberg, Jerome Witkin and Francisco Zuniga.
The major survey exhibition – “Claire Falkenstein: An Expansive Universe” - has been subtly reinstalled

publication on Claire Falkenstein.
