1956: Received first prize in graphic design from the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma, OK
1967: Received an award in painting from the National Council on the Arts, Washington, DC

1969 - 1970: Taught drawing and printmaking at the University of California, Los Angeles, CA
