London / New York / Shanghai
This May, the New York based multi-disciplinary artist Jack Pierson opens a new exhibition, bringing his pursuit of love, kinship, poetry, celebration, youth, fantasy and identity to London for the first time. The exhibition will present new and recent work, with a focus on photography, following Pierson’s acclaimed first show with Lisson Gallery New York in 2023. Pierson’s work – emerging from the 1980s milieu of the Boston School of documentarian photographers but instead drawn into a world of punk-influenced performativity – reveals personal and universal narratives in a non-hierarchical practice that incorporates collage, installation, sculptural assemblage and photography.
