Loch Gallery is delighted to present an exhibition of new sculptures by “urban folk artist” Patrick Amiot. The exhibition will feature a collection of clay works alongside his recycled junk metal sculptures. Through works like "Bombardier Snow Plough" and "Skiiers" Amiot links the Quebec 19th and early 20th century genre tradition to a contemporary pop/ folk statement. His partner, Brigitte Laurent, completes the sculptures with her fine brushwork and sophisticated sense of colour.

Over the past two decades, Amiot has gained international notoriety for his unique large-scale sculptures made entirely from recycled materials. Sourcing materials that are destined for the dump or donated by local companies or community members, Amiot gives these objects new life as works of art.
