With her personal expression of landscape through abstraction, Shannon has painted fresh interpretations of spectacular western Canadian vistas. From dramatic skies that hover above prairie roads and farmlands to snow-capped mountain glaciers reflected in emerald lakes, she skillfully captures the essence of these inspiring spaces in her unique style.

Influenced by Japanese woodblock prints, Shannon's use of line, paint washes, and thick strokes of colour express a dynamic, personal creative vision. Holding a deep respect and reverence for the natural world Shannon believes that personal expression through painting has no boundaries.
