October Gallery is pleased to announce its participation at the 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair and invite you to visit us in room G1A at Somerset house, West Wing Strand, London. The Fair is open to the public from 16th- 20th October 2013.

October Gallery will showcase an exciting selection of works by artist including Ablade Glover, Romuald Hazoumè, Rachid Koraïchi, Karel Nel, Nnenna Okore, Zak Ové, Owusu-Ankomah, Gérard Quenum and Julien Sinzogan.

Tickets for 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair are now on sale. To ensure entry to the fair and avoid disappointment on the day, advance booking is strongly recommended. In addition to being able to see and buy art by over 70 African artists, visitors can experience the fair’s unique series of artist projects and the 1:54 Forum, a programme of debates, panel discussions and keynote lectures. 1:54 is the first international art fair dedicated to modern and contemporary African art, taking place at the iconic building of Somerset House. Collectors, visitors and art professionals will be presented with an unrivalled opportunity to experience some of the most exciting art.

For its inaugural year, acclaimed British architect David Adjaye will design the exhibition space in the West Wing of Somerset House. Located in the heart of London, it is within easy walking distance of the city’s West End.
