Timeline

1952: Born in Naples, Italy
1970: Enrolled as an architecture student at the Università degli Studi di Roma, La Sapienza, Italy
1971: Had his first solo exhibition at the Galleria Valle Giulia
1972: Met Alighiero e Boetti in Rome
1980: Participated in the Venice Biennale
1981 - 1982: Created The Fourteen Stations, a series of twelve large oils
1981: Studied Sanskrit
1984: Collaborated with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol on a group of works
2002: Elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters
: Lives and works in New York, NY; Rome, Italy; and Madras, India
