Petersburg Press is a publisher of limited edition prints and “livres d’artiste” books and has worked with many of the most significant European and American Post War and Pop artists of their generation. Founded by Paul Cornwall-Jones in London in 1968 Petersburg Press opened additional premises in New York in 1972. The Press collaborated with American artists Jim Dine, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Rene Ricard, Frank Stella and Michele Zalopany; and British and European artists Marcel Broodthaers, Patrick Caulfield, Francesco Clemente, Marcel Duchamp, David Hockney, Howard Hodgkin, Allen Jones, and Dieter Roth. Petersburg Press has organized numerous exhibitions worldwide and published a wide range of books and posters. Premises are now in New York City.
Paul Cornwall-Jones founded his first publishing business Editions Alecto (EA) in 1961 as a post-graduate at the architectural schools at Cambridge University, England.
