Peyton Wright Gallery, in Santa Fe since 1988, offers extensive collections of Modern and historic art and antiquities. The Modern collection features the Estates of Stanton Macdonald-Wright, Art Brenner, Margo Hoff, John Stephan, and Herbert Bayer, and includes work by many other important American Modernists. The historic collections include extensive holdings of 17th- through 19th-century Spanish Colonial paintings and objects, 18th- and 19th-century New Mexican Bultos and Cristos, Russian icons, Pre-Columbian and Native American ceramics and textiles, and European and North American works from the 17th through 20th centuries. Exhibitions include the annual Art of Devotion, one of the most extensive exhibitions of public and private religious art in the country, and special exhibitions of American Modernism.
